Billie Dorlee Thompson

Billie Dorlee Duff Thompson was born in Russellville, OK to Oliver Hyter and Mary Lula (King) Duff on September 27, 1927. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 23, 2022, in Denton TX at the age of 94. She attended Blocker and Crowder schools. Billie retired from Safeway in McAlester after 33 years. She lived in Texas the last 22 years of her life. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Louis Charles (Minnie) Duff, Lula Avon (Royce) Baldwin, Eolia (Nick) Giacomo, Norwood (Hazel) Duff; husband, Eugene (Gene); and son, Darrell; nieces and nephews, Oliver Baldwin, Mary Sue Coonfield, Gail Baldwin, Rose Ann Robertson, and Junior Duff.
Left behind to carry on Billie's legacy are her daughter, Diane (Harry) Huffman of Pilot Point TX; daughter-in-law, Judy Thompson of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren Michelle (Russ) Brantzeg of Aubrey TX and children Alyssa, Jaylyn and Bryce; Ryan (Sarah) Thompson and children Emma, Zachary, Marshall, Mia and Hannah of Sarasota FL; Dr. Shane Huffman (Jenna) and children Bradyn, Andyn, Kinley and Curyn of Midland TX; and Trent Huffman of Roanoke TX; Suzi Huffman and daughter Sarah Shilling of Argyle TX; and foster granddaughter Nikki Elieson of Grand Prairie TX; nieces and nephew, Doralea Brewer, Mike Duff and Vickie Williams of McAlester OK; Delores Nelms of Plano TX.
Funeral services will be held in Texas on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 9:30am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8801 Martop Rd, Aubrey, TX 76227. It will also be broadcasted at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in McAlester at 9:30 am located at 405 W Electric Ave. The family will travel to McAlester for a graveside service at 3:30pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park in McAlester OK.
Pallbearers will be Bryce Brantzeg, Russell Brantzeg, Andyn Huffman, Bradyn Huffman, Shane Huffman, Trent Huffman, Marshall Thompson and Ryan Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Wendell Brewer, Jr, A.J. Bristow, Mike Duff, Scott Easley, Gerald Honeycutt, Jimmy Dee Maisano, Ben Murdaugh, Bill Murdaugh and Ty Williams.
