Billy Gene Burns, 82, passed away on December 30, 2025, in the comfort of his home in Gorman, Texas, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on August 30, 1943, in Gorman, Texas, to Cecil L. and Beulia May Bullock Burns.
Billy spent his life as a farmer, not only was it his income and way of life, but it was also his passion.
Billy is preceded in death by both of his parents as well as one son, Michael Burns.
Billy is survived by his son, Randy Burns and his wife, Aura of Gorman, his daughter Traci Gerick and her husband, James of Gorman, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Jack.
A service will be held in Billy’s remembrance on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 2PM at Higginbotham Funeral Home, Gorman, Texas. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service.
