Billy Duncan Obituary
Born January 12, 1946 in Mount Hope, WV he was the son of the late Clarence W. (Joe) Duncan and Mary Madeline Wees Duncan.
He was preceded in death by his oldest grandson, Johnathon Tyler-Ray Moore; two brothers, Clarence, Jr. (Buddy) Duncan, and James (Jimmy) Duncan; three sisters, Barbara (Bobbi) James Underwood, Mary Sue Norment, and Billy's twin sister, Nancy Kay Duncan; and his special aunt, Opal (Billie) Wall who attended his birth and insisted he be named Billy Ray.
Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving wife of 52 years, Donna Rae Duncan, daughters, Cindy Moore, of Mooresville, NC, and Billie Jo Jackson (Joe), of Mt. Hope; son, Michael Ray Duncan (Heather) of Beckley, WV; his grandchildren include, Michael Moore (Courtney) of Beckley, WV, Kenny Moore of Beckley, WV, Amanda Moore of Mooresville, NC, Kayla Smith (RJ) of Beckley, WV, MaKenzie Lawson of Beckley, WV, Dre Lawson of Beckley, WV and 4 great grandchildren; his brothers include, John Samuel (Sammy) Duncan of Oak Hill, WV, and David Michael "Mike" Duncan of Columbus, OH; and his sisters include, Connie Jo Craddock of Mt. Hope, WV, Ruby Carol Swigart of Diamond, OH, and Patty Logan of Mt. Hope, WV. In addition there are many nieces,nephews, and friends that loved their "Uncle Bill" so very Much.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Pastor Randy Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, WV.
Visitation for friends will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home in Mount Hope, WV.
