Billy (Red) Ray Ring of Byars, Oklahoma was born March 10, 1943 in Byars, Oklahoma to Robert Cleo Ring and Sarah Elizabeth (Height) Ring. He passed away in Broadway Living Center in Lexington, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years. He grew up in the Byars area and attended school in Byars and Wayne High School. He joined the army and was stationed in Massachusetts and served our country in Germany and Vietnam for 7 years. He married Linda Trackey on February 26, 1968 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and they made their home in Byars. He worked as a Diesel Mechanic until retirement. He loved fishing and gardening he was known to have a green thumb and could grow anything. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa.
Preceded by his parents, a baby daughter, 2 sisters Josephine Williams and Linda Stone, 2 brothers Edward and Robert Cleo Ring JR. and a great-granddaughter Ivy Ring.
Survived by; his wife Linda of the home in Byars.
2 daughters; Donna Bennett & husband Doug of Tecumseh, OK.
Anita Cole & husband Scott of Byars, OK.
3 sons; William Ring & wife Lorna of Shawnee, OK. Billy Daren Ring & wife Traci of Ada, and Jerry Ring & wife Wanda of Byars, OK.
16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way.
2 brothers; Hobart and Mickey Ring. and a sister Peggy Morgan
Visitation; Sunday March 16, 2025 from 1:00PM to 5:00PM in DeArman/Pickard Funeral Home Stratford, Oklahoma.
Services; 10:00 AM Monday March 17, 2025 in Byars First Baptist Church Byars, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Rev. Seth Johnson. Interment will follow in the New Johnsonville cemetery Byars, Oklahoma.
