Shara Kay Rogers

Shara Kay (Helm) Rogers was born August 28, 1966. And passed away November 6,2024. Although her family is heart broken, we know she was looking forward to healing, heaven& hugging her Brittney again.
Shara was born to (James Richard) Jimmy & Peggy (Bates) Helm and grew up primarily in the Byars area with her sister Debbie & brother Jimbo. She graduated from Wayne High School and then married Mike Rogers in 1984. Together they had 2 beautiful children. Raising Brandon & Brittney, Shara taught her kids to work hard, be giving and that God and family are the most important things in life. Shara was a selfless soul. She was one of the most loving people you could ever meet and in return, all of her family loved her that much as well. Her nieces and nephews would say that she is the best cake maker in the whole world, as she continued to make & decorate cakes for each of their birthdays, weddings and showers just to make them feel special.
Shara Kay was the epitome of what every person should strive to be. She was kind and generous, she was beautiful and strong. Her smile was contagious. Shara's positive and uplifting spirit carried many along when tragedy struck her family time and time again. She was proud of her Chickasaw heritage and worked for the tribe for 19 years. Shara also volunteered for the American Cancer Society & Relay for Life, as well as giving an annual scholarship in Brittney's name each year. Even when she was sick, she continued to work and keep her positive outlook on life. She was resilient and never gave up her fighting spirit. Shara said "if it's her time then it's her time" and continued on with a smile on her face.
Shara is preceded in death by her daughter Brittney Rogers, father Jimmy Helm, brotherJimbo Helm and nephews Jake Bittle & Trey Helm.
She is survived by her husband Mike Rogers of the home in Byars, her son Brandon Rogers of Byars, mother Peggy Helm of Pauls Valley, mother-in-law Mary Rogers of Byars, sister Debbie Bittle & husband Keith of Stratford, sister-in-law Paige Helm of Byars, sister-in-law Sherri Corey& husband David of Byars, brother-in-law Mark Rogers & wife Angela of Byars, niece Shatona Gallup & husband Jason of Stratford, niece Brielle Helm-Hatter and husband Robbie of Stratford, niece Myla Ashton Sprabery & husband Tyler of Byars, nephew Braden Prewitt & wife Kaylee of Byars, niece Abby Rogers of Tecumseh & niece Hanna Prewitt of Byars, as well as many great nieces and nephews
Visitation; Sunday afternoon November 10, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 pm in DeArman/Pickard Chapel.
Services; will be 11:00 AM Monday November 11, 2024 in DeArman/Pickard Chapel Stratford, Oklahoma.
Officiating; Bo Cail. Interment will follow in Byars cemetery, Byars, Oklahoma.
