BJ will be remembered for her love of cooking. Her happy place was in the kitchen cooking up meals for her family and friends. When she was able, she enjoyed playing card games, crocheting and reading. She had a love for elephants and enjoyed watching her favorite sports teams, the Boston Celtics and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Over the years, she had the joy of babysitting many of her nieces and nephews and building strong relationships with each of them. Her family wants everyone to remember her for her constant smile, unwavering positivity and bravery over the last 16 years as she endured many health struggles. She was a great friend and a 'shero' to the love of her life, Duane.
BJ is survived by her longtime partner, Duane Wilson of Campbell, NY and his daughters: Anastasia Latrice Wilson, Amber Regine Wilson, Alexis Yvonne Wilson; siblings: Phyllis (Robert) Bixby of Campbell, NY, Den (Lisa) Saxbury of Painted Post, NY, Jeanette (David) Smith of Painted Post, NY, Amy Saxbury of Bath, NY, Florence (Paul) Burrows of Pine Valley, NY, Heidi Saxbury of Troupsburg, NY; nieces and nephews: Amanda (Eric) Draper, Jennifer Bixby, Eric Saxbury, Steven (Monique) Saxbury, Dillon Saxbury, Michael Saxbury, Sean Saxbury, Megan Smith, Scott Smith, Joane Smith, Katie Saxbury, Felicia Saxbury, Mikhail Saxbury, Brooke Saxbury, Hailey Saxbury, Scot Rinick; many great nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Amy Osatchuck Saxbury.
In addition to her parents, BJ was predeceased by her brother, Robert Melvin Saxbury, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the convenience of the family. Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
