Bloor Redding

Bloor Redding, of Indianapolis passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on December 17, 1930, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Herbert E. & Margaret B. Redding.
A proud graduate of Shortridge High School in 1948, Bloor continued to pursue excellence in academics and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1952. Bloor also served in the United States Army.
He was a member of Mystic Tie Masonic Lodge #398. He was also a member of the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, where he served as the Most Wise Master of the Indianapolis Chapter of the Rose Croix from 1972-74. He was named a Sovereign Grand Inspectors General, Thirty-Third degree, September 24, 1975.
Bloor's commitment to public service was evident in his roles as Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Meridian Hills and as President of the Day Nursery Association. He was a devoted member of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Officer.
Bloor was involved in Real Estate and most recently as a commercial appraiser. He also had his Private Pilot license and was active in several car clubs.
Preceding him in death were his beloved wife, Mary E. "Molly" Redding, and his parents, Herbert E. and Margaret B. Redding. He is survived by his children, Bloor Jr. (Patricia) Redding, Mary (Michael) King, and Kathleen (William) Chrystie, his treasured six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
