Bob Dearden

Robert B. "Bob" Dearden, a resident of Abington, PA for the past 45 years and formerly of Jenkintown, PA died on October 3, 2024. He was 72 years old. He was the beloved husband of Debra L. Yerkes Dearden for 49 years.
Born on August 1, 1952, Bob was the son of the late Robert Rowland Dearden, IV and the late Joyce Ann Daltry Dearden.
After graduating from Jenkintown High School in 1971, Bob went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Salem University in 1975.
His career as a Printing Salesman began with Fencor Graphics where he worked for more than 30 years. He later worked for Giant and AmeriHealth prior to retiring in 2021.
He was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Melrose Park, PA.
He was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed watching the Phillies and Eagles. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling.
One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family, whether it be vacationing or by just simply taking walks and talking with them.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son R. Scott Dearden, daughter Amanda Spier and her husband, Kevin; his dear grandchildren Matthew, Jackson, Katie and Joey and by his brothers: Greg Dearden, Rick Dearden and Jim Dearden.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 Am on Friday, October 11, 2024, Helweg & Rowland Funeral Home, 1500 Old York Road, Abington, where relatives and friends will be received from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
Interment will be private.
