Bob Harrison Rowland, 89, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025 at Caromont Regional Medical Center – Gastonia. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Glenn R. and Benalee Robinson Rowland, and was preceded in death by his wife Doris Ann Flowers Rowland and a brother Bill Rowland.
Bob and his father owned and operated Rowland's Grocery on the Stanley – Dallas Highway for over 40 years.
He is survived by two daughters Julia and Robin Rowland, a son Jason Rowland and his wife Brook, two sisters Phyllis Long Mullis and husband David, Debby Avery and husband Cordell, and two grandchildren Harrison and Anna Rowland.
The family will have a private graveside service at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery with Reverend David Julen officiating.
