Robert Lee Scheler, 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023.  He was born on December 18, 1936, to the late Chet and Dorothy (Lieckert) Scheler in Louisville, Kentucky.

Bob graduated from Valley High School in 1955.  He was always a very athletic man, enjoying running and bicycling; he even met his wife, Pat, while playing tennis, but his passion was golf.  Bob worked for over 30 years with CSX before retiring.

Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Pendleton.

Left to cherish the memories of Bob’s life is his wife, Pat Scheler; his children, Pamela Crenshaw, Karen Mackin (Danny), Todd Crenshaw (Kim), and David Scheler; his sisters, Martha Fitch, and Joan Clark; his grandchildren, Stephanie Ledford, Matt Mackin, Michael Mackin, Rachel Perkins, and Samaya Scheler; along with his 4 great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Homes West, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Friends may call on the family from 11AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the charity of your choice.
