Bobby DePrez

GREENFIELD - Bobby Dale DePrez, age 69, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born in Shelbyville, Indiana on April 13, 1955 to Donald Edmund and Catherine (Kemper) DePrez. He graduated from Wapahani High School in Selma, Indiana and then furthered his education at IUPUI with an Associate and Bachelor's degree. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years. He married Mary Ann Hornung on November 11, 2000 in Oxford, Ohio.
He worked for Naval Avionics/Raytheon in Indianapolis, Indiana for forty-two years until his retirement in 2019. Bobby was a quiet man, but full of personality. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles with his brother, father, and other family members. He liked the outdoors and went camping whenever he could. Often you could find him in the garage restoring his old, classic car. He also liked relaxing and taking time to watch old western classics. He enjoyed playing billiards with his family. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann DePrez of Greenfield, Indiana; sons, Brian (Kimberly) DePrez of Plainfield, Indiana, Christopher DePrez of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Matthew DePrez of Elwood, Indiana; brothers, Donald DePrez of Greenfield, Indiana and Roger DePrez of Long Beach, California; several nephews and a niece; and seven grandchildren, Lincoln, Eva, Aiden, Adam, Micah, Joshua, and Jaycob DePrez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Edmund and Catherine DePrez.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary. Pastor Landal Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Church Cemetery in Greenfield, Indiana.
