Bobby Kendall Cox, a beloved figure in his community and a cherished family man, passed away unexpectedly in an automobile accident on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on June 17, 1957, in Scott County, he filled his years with experiences that would resonate deeply with those who knew him.

Bobby dedicated many years of his life to a career as a truck driver and truck broker. His profession allowed him to traverse across the states, forming friendships wherever he went. With a personality that radiated warmth and kindness, Bobby never met a stranger; his engaging spirit created bonds that will be remembered fondly by those fortunate enough to encounter him.

Throughout his life, Bobby embraced many passions that reflected his vibrant nature. He was actively involved in bull riding and rodeoing during his youth, showcasing his adventurous side. His love for singing was evident, and he delighted in dancing with his grandchildren, creating treasured memories that his family will carry forward. As an ardent supporter of the Denver Broncos, he found joy in watching their games, proudly cheering for his team in good times and bad.

He will be profoundly missed by his wife, Amanda Carol Woods Cox of Brandon; his children, Ryan Cox (Laura) of Jackson, Morgan Cox Ansley (Kyle) of Raymond, Savanna Cox of Morton, Brody Cox of Pisgah, and Trudy Belle Cox of Pisgah. His legacy will live on through his grandchildren, Colton Cox, Cameryn Watson, Caroline Burkes, Kylie Ansley, Karsyn Ansley, Grayson Warnsley, and Laura Jane Jones, all of whom brought him tremendous happiness and were central to his heart.

Bobby is survived by his siblings, Beth Cox Gilmore (Gerald) of Oklahoma, Theresa Kellar of Pulaski, and Bill McKellar (Rachel) of Brandon; as well as his stepfather, Albert McKellar of Pulaski. He leaves behind two special friends, Jimmy Bo Trest and Mike Wiseman, along with numerous other family members, close friend, Larry McDonald and many cousins who will carry his memory cherished in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Lee Cox; his mother, Betty Sue Brewer Cox McKellar; his brother, Billy Wayne Cox (Squeaky); and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
