Bobby Ray Ricker, 72, of Ten Mile TN, passed away on Friday March 29th. He was born in McMinn County on April 28, 1951 to the late Traynor and Margaret Ricker. He enjoyed working with his hands, working on cars, roofing, and construction. All around handyman. When he wasn't working, he was watching his western movies and visiting with family.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Ann Ricker Zumstein, his grandson, Brandon Lee Hayes, his parents, his brothers, Charlie Ricker and J.D. Ricker, sisters, Francis Crowder, and Evelyn Moses.
He is Survived by his children, Ray Ricker, Jeana Key-Lawson, Lesa Nichols, and Bridgette Cunningham; his grandchildren, Jessica VanHoose, Amanda Duna, Lexie Reason, Andrew Ricker, Weston Ricker, Xander Key, Amber Key, Kenzley Nichols, Peyton Long, Pyper Long, Whisper Cunningham, Elektra Cunningham, Nate Cunningham, Summer Harvey, Kamber Tallent and many great grand-children; brothers, Bill Ricker, Kenny Ricker and Donnie Ricker, and his sisters Virginia Hicks and Rosie Forner.
From Bobby's favorite western, 'You can't account for everything that happens to people who touch you. You know, I learned a long time ago, there are some things in this life that you just accept the way they are.'
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service, 400 S. White St., Athens, TN 37303 with burial at Memorial Gardens in Meigs County. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
