Bobby Scott

Bobby "Bob" Lee Scott, 86, of Fulton passed away on July 14, 2024, at Capital Region medical Center.
He was born in Fulton, MO on February 28, 1937 to the late Elmer Lee Scott and the late Myrtle Ann (McClatchey) Scott.
On August 1, 1958 Bob married the late Ruby McCowan, together they had two children, Debbie Lynn (Scott) Allen and Buddy Lee Scott. On June 21, 1978, Bob was united in marriage to Laura Schulte and together they had a daughter, Kristina (Scott) Bright, Laura preceded him in death on February 5, 2020.
Bob was a graduate of Fulton High School. He worked as a meat cutter at a small grocery in Fulton, then drove a truck for Hazlerig's trucking till he went to work for the Fulton State Hospital for thirty plus years before his retirement. He loved taking road trips with beloved wife Laura all around Missouri and especially to his favorite spot overlooking the river in Louisiana, Missouri. He had a love of working on older vehicles. Throughout his life he had a love of raising farm animals. He especially enjoyed raising his horses, donkeys and mules, and taking rides on their wagons and carts. Bob also had a lot of dogs, a few cats and even a chicken that came to visit. It was not out of the ordinary to come home and find Bob and his mule, Penny, sharing an ice-cold beer.
Those that remain to cherish his memory are his daughters, Debbie Allen, Kristina Bright (John); son, Buddy Scott (Karen); grandchildren, Nick "Andy" Johnson, Travis Scott, Madison Bright and Macey Bright. Mother-in-law Ruth Schulte; brothers-in-law, John Schulte (Donna), Joe Schulte; sisters- in-law, Julie Schulte, Jenny Schulte, Sandy Scott; son-in-law, Wallace "Doc" Allen, and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Scott and Gene Scott; daughter in law, Jamie Scott; father-in-law, Art Schulte; sister-in-law, Rhonda Schulte, and niece, Judy (Scott) Finley.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Maupin Funeral Home with David Scott officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery.
