Mr. Bobby O’Neil “High Pockets” Sikes, age 72, entered into rest on Monday, December 9, 2024. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Reverend Kenneth Lindsey and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Sikes was born July 6, 1952 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Leroy and Viola Williams Sikes. He was a retired employee of Conbraco Industries with over 30 years of service and grew up attending Center Grove Baptist Church. A true outdoorsman, Bobby enjoyed fishing, farming and rabbit hunting. He spent many years raising cattle and hunting dogs. A man who loved his wife and family dearly, Bobby was a very proud “Pa-Pa” to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sikes was also preceded in death by his sisters, Carol Weaver, Frances Hudson, and Sara Snipes; and brother, James Mitchell “Mickey” Sikes.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila F. Sikes of the home; daughter, Amy Ricketts (Mitch Wilson) of Ruby, SC; grandchildren, Courtney (Mitch Watson), Destiny (Austin), Skylar, Zachary, and Trinity; great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Emma, Michael, Brooklyn, Kingston, Ivy, and soon to be arriving, Ny’Elly and Sadie; numerous nieces and nephews including nephews whom he had a close bond with, Eric, Ken, and Jeremy.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, (www.lls.org) or to a hospice organization of one’s choice.
