Obituary of Bobby Jason Steele
Bobby Jason Steele passed from this life to the next on June 29th surrounded by loved ones near his home in Monterey, Tennessee. Bobby was born February 17th, 1955 to the late Paul and Lolene Steele of Webbville, Kentucky.
Bobby was a heavy machine operator by trade, retiring from Peabody Energy in 2021. He worked many years in the coal fields of Kentucky, Colorado and Wyoming. He was a skilled woodworker, creating many beautiful pieces for his family that will remain treasured heirlooms long after his passing. He was an avid traveler, experiencing so many wonderful adventures and beautiful locations. He worked incredibly hard his entire life, allowing him to retire to his dream home in Tennessee. In his spare time Bobby loved to hunt and fish; he was an excellent marksman. He also enjoyed boating, riding ATV trails, walking around Bass Pro Shop for hours and never missed a gun show within a 100 miles. Bobby's love for his hobbies was only rivaled by his love for his family, his absence leaves a monumental void in all of their lives.
Bobby was proceeded in death by his mother and father, an infant brother and sister John Lee and Madeline Steele, a Daughter Cheyenna "Tiny" Steele, a special cousin Patrick Steele and his Ex-Wife Angela Louise. He is survived by the love of his life and adventure partner of 20 years, Renee Steele. Two Daughters, Danielle Steele Enyart (Jason) and Eden Steele. A sister, Shellia Diane Daniel (Rob Riddle). 8 Grandchildren Bailyn, Reagan and Asher "Bubby" Enyart, Rayaunna, Aubry, Katherine "Kat", and Micah "Bubba" Steele and Melody Fields. A special cousin, Zack (Chris) Steele, his oldest friend Anna Kay Ison, his cherished dog Jeep and a host of beloved friends, extended family and work family.
Bobby was an amazing man and will be remembered, loved and mourned for many years to come. His family and friends were blessed to have known him.
Visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa, Kentucky on July 5th from 6-9pm and services will follow on July 6th at 11am. He will be laid to rest among his loved ones at the Steele Family Cemetery on his beloved Abb Creek in Webbville, Ky.
Care for Bobby and his family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
