Bonnie Jo (Walker) Ott, 74, of Greenwood, passed away on August 18, 2025. She was born on February 18, 1951 in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Ernest (Bud) and Opal Walker. She graduated from Center Grove High School in 1969, and married her High School Sweetheart, Wayne Ott, one month later.
Together, they had four children, seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, one great- grandchild, and three step-great-grandchildren.
Bonnie is survived by her husband Wayne, of Greenwood, Children Brad (Tonya) Ott of Camby, Wendy (Steve) Callahan of Sheridan, Mindy (Darryl) Edwards of Martinsville, Keri Gilbert of Greenwood, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, her Twin Sister and Best Friend Beckie (Rick) Stumpf of Greenfield, brother Randy (Cathy) Walker, and sister Christie Watson of Greenwood.
Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, gardening, canning things from their large garden, working in her flower beds, hosting and cooking for big family holiday gatherings, visiting craft fairs and festivals, Saturday Shopping with her sisters and mom, watching Family Feud, and word-search puzzles. She had retired from JFW Industries after over 20 years of service where she was an assembler/inspector.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest (Bud) and Opal Walker, Siblings Steve Walker and Vickie Booher, Son-in-Law Mark Gilbert, and grandson Ethan Ott.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, August 22, 2025 at the funeral home with burial immediately following at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Greenwood.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to Church at Smith Valley or consider signing up for an upcoming meal train.
