Bradley E. Dummer, 45, of Pecatonica, IL passed away April 4, 2024 at his home after a sudden illness. Brad was born December 13, 1978 in Rockford, IL, the son of Craig and Cathy (Bean) Dummer. Brad graduated from Pecatonica High School in 1997 and later earned an Associate Degree in Agriculture from Highland Community College. Brad married Kara Phillips on September 29, 2012 in Rockford, IL. Brad worked in the family farming operations for many years, including as a representative for Pioneer Hybrid International selling seeds and crop insurance. Starting in 2014 Brad started his own business, Dummer Seed Services (DSS), which also provided Veris Technologies agricultural services. He thoroughly enjoyed serving the agriculture community and took pride in the relationships he developed with his customers. Brad was also a dedicated member of the Winnebago County Fair Board of Directors. He enjoyed participating in local truck pulling events and traveled with Southwest Wisconsin Pullers.
Brad was an intelligent, loving and caring person that was always helpful to anyone. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his young family. Survivors include his wife Kara and their children Preston and Myrah; parents Craig and Cathy; brother Brian (Amber); and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 13 at McCorkle Funeral Home - Pecatonica Chapel, 203 W 5th Street, Pecatonica, IL. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday, April 12 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to his family.
