Brandon Harris Bellamy passed away on June 3, 2024 of natural causes. Born on January 12, 1985 in Atlanta Georgia, Brandon was known for his kind nature and the respect he showed to everyone he met. A beautiful soul and a gentle giant of a man, he brought warmth, intelligence, and leadership to all who knew him, leaving a legacy of excellence and compassion. Brandon's ability to connect deeply with people was a testament to his character, and his bear hugs were legendary among family and friends.
Brandon leaves behind a beautiful 8-year-old daughter, Baylee Rae Bellamy, who adored her daddy and she was the light of his life. His love and devotion to Baylee Rae were evident in all aspects of his life, and their bond was a source of joy and strength for him. He also leaves behind the mother of his daughter, Jessica Abline, who shared in the love and care for their daughter. Brandon's passing is a profound loss to all who knew him. His sense of comfort, leadership, and unwavering support will be deeply missed.
He grew up in Georgia, where he attended Central Gwinnett High School. He excelled both academically and athletically, earning All-Gwinnett County honors as a senior on the football team. He continued to demonstrate his athleticism at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he was a dedicated member of the offensive and defensive lines from 2003 to 2007. Brandon's athletic career was marked by his resilience and versatility.
Brandon's academic journey was equally impressive. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, which fueled his passion for communication and coaching. His fraternity brother, Drew Dunlap, fondly remembers Brandon "as a true leader who brought comfort, insight, and intelligence to their group."
Professionally, he was an experienced manager in the food service industry. His commitment to excellence and his strong professional skills earned him respect and admiration from all. More recently, Brandon found his calling as a personal coach, where he provided guidance and support to individuals navigating personal and professional challenges. His clients valued his ability to help them see the finish line and achieve their goals.
His mother, Fonda Elaine Harris, is heartbroken at the loss of her only son, Brandon. Their bond was unbreakable and she spent countless hours cheering him on throughout his high school, university, and professional careers. Brandon is also survived by his father Bennie Rodges Bellamy, brothers Andre Moore, McKenzie Williams, and Benzel "Scotty" Bellamy.
His many aunts, uncles and numerous cousins are deeply saddened by our incredible loss. "Brandon's passing leaves us with deep sorrow. We will cherish our memories of his grace, hospitality, and quick wit. He was a good man, a great father and son, whose departure was far too soon."
May he rest in peace, and may his memory continue to bless all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Friday, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Andrew Plisko officiating. I was blessed to work with and get to know Brandon this past year. Brandon was one of those special people who left a life-long, lasting impression on everyone he met. The second to last time I saw him, he walked over to thank me for staying to help out with third shift several times that week. I turned around and he fist bumped me and said, "You are back with us, we sure do appreciate your help, you are great !!!" The last time I saw him, I walked over to him and told him that I could not work over that night, but I would when I could. He said, "Anytime you can help us out, we would love to have you with us - you are great!!!" I said, " Thank you, you are as well." I think I will always "see" Brandon waiting to have his Motivational Meetings with his 3rd Shift Crew, he always sat in the same place. Our Company was BLESSED to have him as one of our Supervisors. We will carry his lessons with us always. Love, Thoughts, and Prayers for his mom, daughter, and entire family. Always, Lisa Camp
