Glenna Sue Jenkins, 81, of Madisonville, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 17, 2025 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was born December 26, 1943 in Knoxville. She retired from Monroe County Schools, a 30-year veteran teacher. She was a graduate of Hiwassee College, Tennessee Wesleyan College, and the University of Tennessee. She loved taking care of babies and fur babies. She was a member of Forkner's Chapel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Beal and Thelma Kelly; sister, Phyllis Redden; nephew, Christopher Jenkins; niece, Michelle (Jenkins) Hutchinson; former husband, Donnie Jenkins. Survivors: daughters and son-in-law, Kelly Robinson, Donna and Don Gardner; grandchildren, Rebecca Allgood and Andrew Robinson; great-grandson, Lucas Robinson; nieces, Jan Redden, Melissa (Jenkins) Smith and Jennifer Jenkins-Scafone; nephew, Brian Jenkins; cousins, Allen and Karen Buckner. Special thanks to the staff at Morning View Senior Living. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society. Memorial service 6:30 P.M. Friday, August 22, Biereley-Hale Chapel. Rev. Brenda Gentry will officiate. The family will receive friends 5-6:30 P.M. Friday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
