Brandon R. Boone, 31, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025. Born on February 4, 1994, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he is a son of Joseph H. Boone of Harrisburg and Tiffany A. (Horning) Renninger and his stepfather, J. Michael Renninger, of Mifflintown. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his companion, Aleesha R. Moyer, siblings, MA2 Amisha J. Boone stationed in Japan and her husband Daniel of Marysville, Devin M. Renninger and his wife Haley of Northumberland, and Jolie M. Boone of Harrisburg; three uncles, James Boone, Bill Boone and Calvin Boone; three aunts, Tammy Casey and her husband Michael and Bobbie Ann Boone and Kimbra Kavanaugh; and many cousins. Mr. Boone was a 2012 graduate of Juniata High School, Mifflintown and graduated with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from HACC. Brandon was currently employed as a Lt. Correctional Officer at SCI Camp Hill where he also served on a Regional Sniper Team and, in 2025, was appointed by Governor Shapiro as a Police Officer through Act. No. 239 through the Department of Corrections. He enjoyed hiking, camping, target shooting, and traveling; however, his greatest joy came from time spent with his family,friends, coworkers, and teammates. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 14th, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00p.m. at Progress Fire Co. Home Association, 38 Short Street, Harrisburg, PA 17109. (Parking lot is located on Shell Street) In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Boone's memory can be made to Prevent Suicide PA (PSPA), 834 Chestnut St., Suite 400, Philadelphia, PA 19107 or by visiting www.preventsuicidepa.org.
