A beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend
Brandon Emani Compton was born on February 9, 1998 to Michelle Washington and Sylvester Compton Jr. in Vallejo, California. Brandon attended the local schools in Richmond prior to his family moving to East Contra Costa County where he completed his education and graduated from Antioch High School in 2016. Brandon accepted Christ at a young age. Brandon enjoyed children's church and singing in the youth choir.
Brandon loved playing baseball. He began playing at the age of 4 and continued until he turned 25. Brandon was fearless behind the plate as a catcher and would dare the opposing team to steal any base. He was a motivator on the ball field, and he always hyped his team up no matter if they were losing or winning. Brandon was a Gamer and enjoyed online competition. You could often catch him singing and dancing on social media. Brandon loved his mother's cooking and would eat anything she cooked. His favorite food was Mexican food especially cheese quesadillas and Krispy Kreme donuts, which he called Happy Kreme.
Brandon was always smiling, fun loving, full of life and a kindhearted young man that loved his family and often took care of his nieces and nephews. He celebrated life every day, no matter what, he always had that infectious smile on his face that would light up any room. His family and friends will never forget him because their lives were enriched and made better by his love, laughter, care, and concern.
Brandon leaves lasting memories on his loving mother Michelle Washington, Erick McDaniel (stepfather), sister Tiffanie Smith, brother Antonio Straughter, sister Ivoire' Compton, nieces Molena and Molanie Smith, Harmony Haywood and nephews Jayceon Haywood and GioVanni Straughter, grandmother Cheryl Washington, grandfather Clarence Washington (Hattie Marie). He will also be missed by his father Sylvester Compton Jr. (Rochelle), other brothers and sisters, great aunts, great uncles, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.
On May 15, 2023, Brandon completed his final 9th inning catch, where he threw the ball beyond the heavenly clouds to the baseball field in the sky.
