Brandon M. Elliott, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on June 29, 2025, at Covenant Healthcare following a brief illness. Born on May 6, 1984, in Lapeer, Michigan, to proud parents Larry and Lori (Iversen) Elliott, Brandon's life was marked by his infectious laughter, love for the outdoors, and the deep bonds he formed with those around him.
A graduate of Mt. Morris High School's class of 2002, Brandon was known for his easygoing nature and his ability to bring joy to any occasion. His work as a groundskeeper at Timber Surf Campgrounds in Fountain, Michigan, was a perfect fit for his love of nature and his knack for making every visitor feel like an old friend. Brandon's presence at the campground was as steady and comforting as the tall trees that surrounded it.
He is survived by his mother, Lori (Kenneth) Simpson, who cherished his devoted companionship and his siblings, Ben (Kelly) Elliott, Katherine "Kate" Bennett, Jill (Tom Riley) Simpson, Courtney (A.J.) Crawley, Larry A. Elliott, and Sherry Sappington, who will miss his handy skills and his ever-ready humor. Brandon's role as an uncle was one he cherished deeply, and his playful spirit will live on in the hearts of his many cousins, nieces, nephews, and special family friends, Larry (Pat) Polacek and Nick & Micahela Polacek.
Brandon's love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. He spent countless hours fishing and hunting, reveling in the peace and excitement that nature provided. His love for garage and yard games made family gatherings memorable, filled with laughter and friendly competition. Brandon's ability to fix anything that needed mending, coupled with his friendly demeanor, made him the go-to person in his family and community.
Those who knew Brandon will remember him as a man who could light up a room with his humor and whose friendliness knew no bounds. His passing leaves a void in the lives of those who loved him, but his memory will continue to inspire smiles and warmth in their hearts.
Brandon was preceded in death by his father, Larry Elliott; his brother, Jeremy Elliott and his sister, Sarah Dawn Elliott. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and it brings comfort to his family to know that they are reunited once more.
As we say goodbye to Brandon M. Elliott, we celebrate the life of a man who was the embodiment of kindness, humor, and the simple joys of life. His legacy will be carried on through the stories shared by friends and family and the countless memories that will continue to bring comfort and laughter to all who were fortunate enough to know him. Brandon's life was a testament to the beauty of a life well-lived, and he will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at his brother's home on August 2, 2025 and inurnment will be at Highland Cemetery, Gladwin.
