Braxton Jake Patrick, 16, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023 from injuries received in an automobile accident. The Bowling Green, KY native was a Junior at Allen County-Scottsville High School where he was a linebacker for the Patriots Football team, he also interacted with special needs children at school and the Core, he was a former employee of Pizza Hut and member of Maple Grove General Baptist Church. He was a son of the late David Allen Patrick and Tracey Nicole Spearman Hughes, who survives.
He is survived by his mother: Tracey Spearman Hughes (Billy Hinton), Finney, KY;
Paternal grandparents: Arnold and Melba Patrick, Scottsville, KY;
Maternal grandfather: Buddy Spearman and the late Sandy Spearman, Scottsville, KY;
Grandfather: Willard Gilliam and the late Beatrice Gilliam, Scottsville, KY;
3 brothers: Clayton Blankenship (Raelyn); Jordan Talbott (Shelby), Zachary Richards (Joshua), all of Scottsville, KY;
2 sisters: Courtney Patrick (Rachel), Auburn, KY; Khloe Patrick, Scottsville, KY;
Best friends: Brooklyn Carter, Shiloh Knievel, Logan Toler and Lucas Etheridge;
Several nieces, nephews and cousins and loving football team members.
Preceded in death by paternal grandmother: Diane Patrick; paternal great grandparents: Billie Ruth Richardson, J.D. Clark, Onie and Lula Mae Patrick; maternal great grandparents: Carl and Opal Witcher, Leon and Patsy Spearman and Alburn and Mary Gilliam.
Celebration of Life will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday at East Willow Church of God with Bro. Keith Patrick, Bro. Charles Spearman, Bradley Shrum and Greg Cook officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday at East Willow Church. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Brooklyn Carter's family. Checks must be made payable to Mandy Carter. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
