Brenda Kay Hodges Coder, 69, wife of Thomas Lowell Coder, died Friday, December 6, 2024, at her home.
Born April 4, 1955, in Jesup, GA, she was a daughter of the late James Luther Hodges and the late Opal Kate Suttles Hodges. She worked as a licensed cosmetologist and provided in-home childcare for many years. She enjoyed crafting and taking road trips with her family and friends.
Survivors in addition to her husband include one daughter, Brandie Pipkin (Tony); two grandsons, Mark Anthony Pipkin, Jr (Julia), and Caleb James Pipkin (Catie); five great grandchildren, Nara James, Mak, Addy, Hampton, and Jane; and one sister, Shiela Hamilton. She also loved her canine companions, Max and Camo dearly.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashlie Pipkin, and a brother, Jimmy Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home, 4220 Log Cabin Road, Rembert.
