Ms. Brenda Darlene Marshall Graham, age 74, of North Tazewell, Virginia, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Brenda was born May 27, 1950, in Welch, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Sherlie E. Marshall and Blanche V. Crouse. After graduating high school, she received an associate degree from the University of Maryland. She worked several jobs and then became a postal worker, from which she retired many years later.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Graham, her son, James Howard Altizer, and siblings, Lauretta Mae Marshall, Robert "Bob" Marshall, and Thomas W. "Tommy Marshall
Those that remain to carry on her loving spirit are,

Ulysses Rhea "Ray" Altizer, Jr, and his wife, Mary of North Tazewell, VA
Robert Beavers and his wife, Kelly, of Vansant, VA
Siblings:
Sissy Harrison of Albuquerque, NM
Rev. Mike Marshall and his wife, Wanda, of PA
Grandchildren: Chief Warrant Officer Grant Altizer, Ashley Altizer Graham, Courtney Altizer, Danielle Beavers, Robert Beavers, Laura Hale
Thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends also survive.
Special thanks to her caregiver, Loretta Smith, and Legacy Hospice.
Brenda Graham's funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025, at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Tazewell, Virginia, with the Rev. Mike Marshall and Bill Jones officiating. The internment will follow at the Cox Cemetery in Dugspur, Virginia, at 1:30 p.m. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday and continue until the time of the service.
