Melissa Ann Lane, nee Rocci, was born June 2, in Rochester, Michigan to her loving parents Joseph A. and Elizabeth "Betty" Rocci, nee Caveney. She was a loving sister of Jennifer (Dustin) Rumpel, Christopher (Ashley) Rocci, Erin (Jacob) Roberts, and the late Ryan Rocci.
Brett Allen Lane was born December 29, in San Jose, California to his loving parents William and Cynthia Lane, nee Woods, dear brother of Renee Lane.
Brett and Melissa met while attending graduate school at Northwestern University studying engineering. Brett continued his career in engineering and product management serving as Chief Technological Officer at Panduit Corp.
Brett and Melissa were pillars of their community. Strong, fearless role models that touched the hearts of many. Brett had an infectious spirit, a love of innovation, and an unwavering work ethic. Melissa was a positive beacon of life and hope; always lifting up those around her. Brett and Melissa's greatest accomplishment was raising their five children and building a family of profound love that was tangible to all. Brett enjoyed racing cars, golfing, photography and cheering his alma mater, University of Texas. Melissa enjoyed golfing, reading, participating in her prayer group, and relaxing on the beach in Florida. They will be missed by a loving family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
Visitation Tuesday, April 29th, 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 South Grant Street, Hinsdale, IL. Funeral Wednesday, April 30th, family, and friends to meet for a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 306 W. Fourth Street, Hinsdale. Interment Bronswood Cemetery, Oak Brook.
