Brian Acree Obituary
Mr. Acree was born on April 10, 1967 in Atlanta, Ga. He was the son of the late Arnold Felton Acree and Lois Beck Acree. He was a dedicated employee for 34 years with DBS Manufacturing where he was a purchasing agent.
Scott was an avid athlete competing in several Triathlons, 13 Peachtree Road Races, 4 B.R.A.G Races, and countless other athletic events that was sponsored by various charitable causes.
Scott was a true humble servant of the Lord. He was a faithful long-time member of the Calvary United Pentecostal Church, now known as Life Church of Griffin. He served in many areas within the church including Children's Ministry, Bus Ministry, Prison Ministry, Puppet Ministry, Church Lawn Care, Secretary, and Board Member. He was a current member of Oak Park Church where he served on the Security Team.
His servant's heart and love of farming reached out from the churches he served in to help countless widows with their lawncare needs.
Scott touched countless lives by sharing his love of baking. His motto was "made with love not for a living".
Survivors include his wife, Betsy Ellison Acree; children and spouses, Shanda and Drew Smith, Alisha and Will McNally, Tiffany and Trevor Dunn, Whitney Guimento, and Ashley Guimento; grandchildren, Brayleigh, Koleigh, Blade, Tatum, Gabriel, Jenavieve, Waverlee, Sarah Catherine, Moxley, and Decker; brothers, Doug Acree and Steve Acree; sister, Lora James; nieces and nephews and other family also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Scott Acree will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Pastor David T. Scott, Brother Wes Ardiel, and Rev. Ed Sisson Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers are being excepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Scott.
Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Road, Griffin, Ga. 30224 is in charge of arrangements.
