Brian Benoit

Brian David Benoit, 62, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2022. Born in Springfield, MA Brian lived much of his life in Enfield, CT and Hampden, MA. He attended Enfield schools and Springfield Technical Community College. Not one for taking the conventional route, Brian's occupations included selling french fries on the fair and carnival circuit and restaurant management at Mr. Steak where he made many life-long friends. Once it was time to settle down, Brian obtained his financial licenses and worked for many years at Nationwide.
Brian had an outgoing personality and loved people, jokes, and was a good friend to many. The friends he made in childhood remained his friends throughout his life. He thought himself a good dancer, although he really only had one or two moves. He enjoyed tennis and basketball and being in social settings. In high school he was on the diving team and also enjoyed boxing. He would often tinker on cars with friends and rarely bought a car that did not need to be towed home. His greatest love and proudest accomplishments were becoming a father. Brian's passion was his boys, whom he loved dearly.
He leaves behind his cherished sons, Alec of Clovis, New Mexico, Brian of Hampden, MA, and Cory of Davenport, FL, as well as his brothers Robert Benoit (Susan) of Texas, Bruce Benoit of Connecticut, and sister, Debra Provencher (James) of Connecticut, as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Robert, and mother, Carol.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. at Leete Stevens Enfield Chapels and Crematory 61 South Rd. Enfield, CT.
