Obituary published on Legacy.com by Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc. on Aug. 28, 2024.
Dearest friends and family, we are profoundly saddened to announce that our adored husband, father, son, loving brother and nephew, Brian C. Buskey, 31, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, August 23, 2024 in
Stafford Springs, CT. Born in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of Richard Buskey and the late Diane (Simpson) Buskey. Brian is survived by his wife Angel (Hogancamp) Buskey; sons, Brian C. Buskey Jr. and Kenny Mackin, his pride and joy, dog Raiden, father Rick Buskey and his wife Amy of Portsmouth RI; siblings, Danielle Buskey and her fiancé Bryan Beneduci of Farmington, NH, Andrew Buskey and his wife Hilary of Cumberland, RI, Brett Buskey and his wife Lauren of Douglas, MA, Vincent Micale and his wife Emily of Tiverton, RI, grandmother, Geraldine Charland of Cumberland, RI, and grandfather Donald Simpson of Blackstone, MA. Brian also greatly cherished his role as 'Uncle,' and leaves behind his nieces and nephews, whom he truly adored, Coledon, Evaline, Annalise and Callan Buskey. Brian was predeceased by his maternal grandmother RuthAnn (Kerstetter) Simpson in 2016. Brian and Angel got married on August 13, 2022, and welcomed their son, Brian, Jr. on March 9, 2023. He was a very devoted father, and a dedicated step father to Kenny, having spent a great amount of time doing homework with him and making sure he was growing up to be a great man. Angel was able to be a stay-at-home mom and raise their children because Brian wanted to be the provider for their family. He enjoyed having ducks on his property, and currently had nine chickens to care for. He had many close friends from his time being stationed in Nebraska and in his current unit.
Brian grew up and attended school in the charming small town of Blackstone, Massachusetts. He was an extremely popular student and loved to be around his many, many friends. Paintball was a regular part of his mix, as was ripping up the turf on his ATV at the family homestead at 12 Liberty Hill Drive. After graduating from Blackstone-Millville Regional High School in 2012, Brian enlisted in the United States Air Force. As a Technical Sergeant, Brian's latest crew position was as Aircraft Loadmaster at the 337th Airlift Squadron in the Reserves on the C-5M Galaxy. May 14, 2024, marked 11 years of service for him with over 2,700 flight hours combined with 762 combat hours and 76 combat sorties. His extensive airmanship was a testament to him having flown on multiple airframes, including the RC-135 for 6 years and the C-5 for 5 years. Described as confident and armed with an excellent work ethic, Brian was incredibly proud of his many years of service and deeply fond of his fellow Airmen. He was also proud to have obtained a bachelor of science in information technology from American Military University. Brian was described as the go-to guy for any and all repairs and always ready for the 'next' project, Brian would arrive with tools in hand ready to help his fellow man. When it was time to set the tools aside, Brian found joy on his expansive property setting off extensive fireworks. The 4th of July was his favorite holiday, while listening to songs such as America the Beautiful or The Star-Spangled Banner. It was also on his Stafford Springs property he cut down his very first tree, for which he was so enormously proud. Brian was also a gifted photographer. From the very first time he picked up a pro camera, he proved to have a remarkable eye and natural, raw talent for capturing his subjects. From portraiture to commercial photography, he produced remarkable and memorable works for numerous clients. His style was unique, and the images he created, especially of those closest to him, are forever cherished by his family. In Brian's memory, his family asks those who love him to perform an act of kindness randomly and routinely far into the future, whether it be for a stranger or a person in their everyday life.
