Brian T. Cavanagh 61, of Roseburg, Oregon passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 10, 2023. He was born December 29, 1961, the son of the late William T. Cavanagh and Maureen Dunn Cavanagh. Following his graduation from Pascack Hill High School in Montvale, NJ, Brian attended Bergen Community College where he earned an Associate's Degree in Computer Automated Design. He was a skilled machinist and a talented wood worker and was employed at several companies in the NY/NJ area. Brian loved nature, his cats, and his vintage Cougar. In 1988 Brian married Dawn Marone and they moved to Greenville/Port Jervis, NY. Dawn preceded him in death in 2011. Brian loved Dawn deeply and he spoke often and affectionately about her after her passing, remembering their wonderful 24 years of marriage together. In 2021 he moved to Roseburg, OR to live near his high school sweetheart, Lisa Muller, with whom he had rekindled a relationship. He loved her very much and together they enjoyed outings along the beautiful Oregon Coast. He became employed at Con-Vey and loved his new West Coast home. Brian will always be known as a kind, caring man who never knew a stranger. He is survived by his mother, Maureen Dunn Cavanagh; sisters Eileen Blough, Kathleen Dalton and Maureen Hurst; brother Kevin Cavanagh and numerous nieces and nephews.

Brian was my brother. I never knew him well enough, and sometimes you find out when it is too late. I always remember him going to the Port Jervis Baptist Church and the Eric Lackawanna Restaurant for lunch. R.I.P., Kevin. Losing Dawn was tough enough.
