It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Doris, a beloved father, proud grandfather, the hardest working man we've ever known, and incredible community member to the Rockville Centre School District.
Brian's most treasured roles were those of being an incredible father and grandfather. A steady hand and a warm heart, Brian raised his children with patience, humor, an unbelievable work ethic, and boundless love. He was a storyteller, a fixer of all things broken, and a guiding light in times of trouble. His grandchildren adored him - whether he was picking them up from school, sharing time together, or sneaking them an extra treat or lollipop, his presence made everything better.
Brian was a man of great strength, wisdom, and unwavering dedication. He spent his life working hard, not only in his profession but most importantly, for the people he loved. As Head Custodian at Hewitt Elementary School in Rockville Centre, he took immense pride in his work. He was known for his integrity, work ethic, and genuine care for the students and staff he served.
His laugh was contagious, and his legacy is one of kindness, loyalty, and love. He is survived by his beloved children Lindsay and Michael, son in law Erik, his treasured grandchildren Brooke & Paige, and many extended family and friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
