Brian Lee Hinkle 68, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 31, 2025, at UnityPoint Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Born on February 5, 1957, in Sullivan, Indiana to his parents Edgar and Ruth (Sliger) Hinkle. Brian led a life characterized by dedication, love for family, and a passion for learning. Services and burial are private. 

Upon graduating from Robinson High School in Robinson, Illinois in 1975, Brian pursued higher education, earning an Associate of Arts degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lincoln Trail College. He furthered his education at the University of Northern Alabama, where he studied psychology for three years. His commitment to education mirrored his compassionate nature, traits that were evident throughout his life.

Brian's career journey saw him working at various establishments, including EH Barre in Robinson, Illinois, and Unverferth Manufacturing Co.in Finchford, Iowa. His professional life was marked by diligence until health concerns led him to retire, but his spirit of hard work never waned.

A proud veteran, Brian enlisted in the United States Airforce and received an honorable discharge. This experience contributed to his strong sense of duty and commitment to his family.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Brian found immense joy in gardening and yardwork, often taking pleasure in the tranquility that nature provided. He also enjoyed relaxing and watching television, yet the greatest joy of all came from spending time with his beloved family. He deeply valued these moments, which were filled with love and laughter.

Brian is survived by his wonderful wife, Becky Hinkle, and their sons, Michael, David, and Matthew (Beth) Hinkle. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. His legacy of love and warmth will continue to thrive through them.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Alice and Kathy, who will be remembered alongside him in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Brian Lee Hinkle's life was a tapestry woven with love, hard work, and dedication to family. His absence will be felt profoundly by many, but his spirit and the memories created will forever remain a guiding light in the lives he touched.
