Brian Phelps

Brian Lee Phelps, 70 of Sebring went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 9, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents; Julia Anne (Huhak) and George Rodney Phelps. He is survived by a brother Rodney Gordon Phelps of Camden, NC a sister in law Barbara (Lou) Phelps, niece Mchelle Phelps, grand nephew David, niece Heather (Phelps) Wearner, Brian Wearner and sons.
Brian attended James A. Garfield schools in Garrettsville, Ohio, where he excelled in football, basketball and received many awards including All-Ohio Honors in Basketball. At Malone College in Canton, Ohio he lettered and excelled on the tennis and basketball teams. After graduation he taught History and coached at several schools as well as serving as head coach. Later he worked at several retail sales facilities.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in Brian's honor to the North Carolina Baptist Children's Home, or the American Diabetes Foundation.
