Brian Lee Yock was born on June 30, 1954 in Olivia, MN to Cornelius and Marilyn (Fischer) Yock. Brian was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth at the United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake, MN. He received his education in Buffalo Lake and was a graduate of Buffalo Lake High School - Class of 1972. During his school years he was an active member of Boy Scout Troop 350 and he was a member of the National Honor Society.   After graduating from High School, Brian took on several business ventures. He was the Owner/Operator of Brian's Body Shop in Buffalo Lake and he drove truck hauling livestock for Roger Mueller Trucking. Brian later made his home in Sioux Falls, SD where he was the Owner/Operator of Home Run Auto. He had a great talent and skill for rebuilding damaged vehicles. His passion for that, his knowledge of the inside of a vehicle and his keen business sense earned him the reputation as the guy to call if you needed a hard to find part. Brian was known to go above and beyond to get the job done, and get it done right.   Brian was a dog lover, particularly Boxer dogs. Over the years he owned several of them, all of which accompanied him on his many road trips and parts runs to various states.    Brian passed away on Tuesday, November 15th, 2022 at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center in Sioux Falls, SD. He was 68 years old. Brian will be remembered for his "tell it like it is - no nonsense" honesty, his quiet but steadfast faith in God, his dedicated work ethic, his resolute determination, his quick wit, his sincere and genuine personality... and at times his hard-headed stubbornness. Blessed be his memory.    Brian is survived by his longtime partner of 24 years, Marilyn Boyle; sister, Lynette (Scott) Erickson; brother, Jeffrey Yock; sister, Michelle (Randy) Reid; two nieces; three nephews; other relatives and friends and his beloved Boxer, Boss.
