Mr. Bruce Lee Case age 88 of Americus, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.
Born on February 12, 1936, in Medina, Ohio; Mr. Case was the son of the late Ford and Julia Case. He was a graduate of Euclid High School of Euclid, Ohio and attended the University of Arizona. He was involved with the family business, Ranch Trailer Sales in Chandler, Arizona. He later joined Marlette Mobile Homes, working as a sales manager in the Northeast. He was transferred by Marlette to their plant in Americus, Georgia in 1970 where he and his family lived for five years before moving back to Chandler, Arizona. He retired in 1998 and moved to Americus in 1999.
A talented artist, Mr. Case taught art to adults and held classes several times a week. He also enjoyed teaching classes at Magnolia Manor and Perfect Care. He was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church and the Americus Rotary Club.
He is preceded in death in addition to his parents, his first wife, Judith Keyrouse Case, and a sister Marilynn Campbell of Palm Springs, California.
He is survived by his wife, Leila Sisson Barrett Case; daughters, Lori Case Shivers (Andy) of Americus; Stacey Case Stout (Kirby) of Gilbert, Arizona, and a son, Bruce Case Jr. of Atlanta. As well as three step-children Helen Penter of Charlotte, North Carolina; Margaret Barrett Herndon of Atlanta, and Mark Sisson Barrett (Anne) of Leslie, Georgia. Grandchildren include Casey Shivers (Jami) of Buena Vista, Georgia; Aaron Shivers (Brook) of Leesburg, Georgia; Lauren Vann (Brandon) of Americus, Georgia; Arianne Scott (Cody); Drew Stout (Madeline) and Ashlynn Rosenberg (Kyle). A number of great-grandchildren survive; Jeanna Kate Shivers, Clara Grace Shivers, Reid Shivers, Lydia Shivers, Bennett Vann, Andrew Vann, Eli Scott, Annalynn Scott, Wyatt Scott, Hadley Stout, Kate Stout, Scarlett Stout, and Dawson Stout. Nieces include Paula Bozsa (Ed) of Laguna, California and Laura Giuntoli (Mike) of Fountain Valley, California.
A private internment service will be held on Tuesday November 26, 2024 in the Memorial Garden of Calvary Episcopal Church at 3 P.M with Rev. Richard Nelson officiating. A public visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. in the church Parish Hall.
In a lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made out to Calvary Episcopal Church of Americus 408 S Lee Street, Americus, Ga 31709.
