Beloved husband, father, step-father and grandfather passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper, with his family at his side. Age 89 years.
The son of the late Bruce and Marie (Martin) Denno, Bruce was born on September 1, 1935, in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the class of 1954. He married the love of his life, Patricia “Pat” McKinstry on December 24, 1984. She survives him. Bruce retired from General Motors in 1993 after many years of loyal and dedicated service. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge 77. Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going Up North to his hunting camp. He loved to cook, especially during the holidays for his family. Above all, Bruce cherished the time spent with his family and loved ones, especially his beloved dog, Bear.
Surviving besides his wife, Pat Denno; are their children, James (Rachel) Denno, Linda Denno, David Denno, Beth (Brett) Tuzas, Michelle Averill, Michael Averill, Gretchen (Mark) Seegmiller, Mike (Kim) Bolt, Mark Bolt; and several grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides his parents; Bruce was preceded in death by his son, Bruce E. Denno, Jr.; sisters, June Denno, Geraldine LaValey, Patricia (Ronald) Jones, Barbara (John) Patterson, Joanne Denno.
Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2024, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Nathaniel Asperger will officiate with entombment to follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2024, where a Masonic Service will be held at 5:30 p.m., and from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral chapel. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Saginaw County Animal Shelter.
