Bruce D. Mazar, 68, of Imperial, North Fayette Township, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, 2024, in St. Clair Hospital.
Bruce was born on August 8, 1956, in Sewickley, a son of the late John and Nelda Pearl (Hicks) Mazar.
Mr. Mazar retired from Penn E&R in 2022, where he worked in water testing for 10 years. Bruce had previously owned his own business Mazar Remodeling for over 20 years. He was a jack of all trades and was skilled when it came to working with his hands. Bruce loved the outdoors. He was a member of the McDonalds Sportsman's Association. He was always a talented hunter and fisherman. Most of the pictures Bruce's family has of him, he is pictured with usually his family and whatever they were hunting or fishing for that day.
There truly was nothing more important to Bruce than that of his family. He was an outstanding family man and always had them at the center of his heart. Bruce showed a dedication to those he loved most that only could be explained as having a servant's heart. Bruce was the most selfless and caring man you would ever meet. He would give you the shirt off of his back or his last penny, if that was what you needed. He loved hosting with his loving wife, Christina. Holidays, especially Christmas Eve, were their favorite time. Bruce and Christina would spend all day in the kitchen cooking for their very large family. Their meals were never just meals, they were a time where nothing else in the world mattered except the people that sat before him. God surely knew what he was doing when he made Bruce, he was a gift not only to his family but everyone he met.
Surviving is his loving wife, Christina Makatura Mazar, uncle, Ralph Hicks, sister, Judith (Dave) Tomasic, brother, John (Patti) Mazar, sister-in-law, Cecilia (Robert) Fisher, nephews and nieces, Christopher Eric Mazar, Fred Acevedo and William Acevedo, Beth, Leigh, Abby and Kami, Natalie and many great nephews and great nieces.
Friends and family will be received on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from Noon – 5 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc. and Crematory, 305 Main St., Imperial (724-695-2800).
