Bruce John Seidelman, age 81 of New Carlisle, IN passed away on July 9, 2019.
Bruce was born February 9, 1938 in Detroit, MI to his parents John and Helene Seidelman who each preceded him in death. He is the beloved husband to and is survived by his wife, Marlyce (Schoonover) of 47 years. He is the devoted father and is survived by Marisa (John Dungan), Renee (David Bromley), Richard (Erica) Seidelman, Anita (Christopher Wright), and Wesley Seidelman. He is the proud grandfather of Lauren Alicia (Zachary) Niceley, David Ross Bromley, II, Bryce Nicole (Joshua) Salrin, Lincoln Grey Seidelman, Hudson Graham Seidelman, Neidra Naomi Wright, Berlin Elaine Wright, Samuel John Seidelman, Jaylen Xavier Seidelman, and Sydney Elizabeth Seidelman.
He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his sister and brother, Lois Hentschel-Gardner and John Seidelman.
Bruce graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI with a Bachelors degree in Architeture/City Planning. He worked for the City of Detroit, the US Post Office and as a free lance photographer for several insurance companies. While growing up in the Detroit area, he played in American Legion Baseball, received a college scholarship for basketball, and continued to pursue his interest and love for art.
Bruce enjoyed his life love passion of producing original art work and drawings. He enjoyed following all sports and following his favorite professional sports teams. He also enjoyed reading and philosophy, helping others, and being a devoted husband. Above all, family was the most important thing to Bruce. He cherished his family and was overjoyed whenever he could be playing with and helping his grandchildren. His children and grandchildren, along with his wife Marlyce, were the number one joy of his life. Bruce is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all whose lives were touched by him.
Visitation will be held from 12 - 4 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2900 Monroe Street, La Porte, IN 46350.
