Bryan Lynn Cale, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on February 13, 2025 at the age of 59.
Born on August 21, 1965 in Macomb to Mervin F Cale and Millie M (McNeff) Cale. Bryan was known for his warmth, kindness, and dedication to family. Throughout his life, Bryan showed exceptional devotion to family, including caring for his grandparents in their later years, as well as lovingly supporting his mother in his home until their passing. His compassion and sense of duty were evident in everything he did, always putting others' needs before his own. From the time he babysat his nieces and nephew to the cherished moments he spent babysitting his great-nephews, his presence was a source of comfort and joy for many.
Bryan had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel safe and special, and his playful spirit made every gathering more memorable. His love for his family was unmatched, and his legacy will live on through the stories, laughter, and love he left behind. He was more than just a son, brother, grandson, and uncle, he was a constant and loving presence, always ready with advice, a helping hand, and a warm smile. Whether he was telling stories, playing games with the kids, or just offering a listening ear, his time was always a gift. He is survived by brother, Steven (Mary Ann) Cale of Macomb and sister Melinda Wilson. Three nieces and three nephews, Amanda (Jeremy) Peters, great nephews Cameron, Cody and Cael Peters. Benjamin (Brittany Hunziker) Cale, great niece Haidyn Hunziker. Samantha (Aaron) Snyder, great niece Kamden Snyder. Chad Wilson, great niece Mickenzy Wilson, Matthew Wilson and Leslie (Chris) Swisher, who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bryan was a lifelong member of the Macomb Wesley United Methodist Church. He was a avid gardener and had a love for photography. Bryan was a graduate of Macomb High School and attended Western Illinois University, where he worked in the audio visual department.
Bryan's passing leaves a hole in our hearts, but we are grateful for the many memories we have of him. He will forever be remembered for the love he gave and the lives he touched.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at a later date with grave side service.
Memorials can be made to St. Jude’s or Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb.
