Mr. Bryan Allan Mascoe, age 81, of Blairsville, GA passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2024, at home following complications from Multiple Myeloma. He was born in Los Angeles, CA. He is the son of the late Barrie Mascoe and Elizabeth Bryan of Canada. He is preceded in death by his two sisters, Bonnie and Maureen; son, Randy Ringelspaugh, and his previous wife of 49 years, Mickey Mascoe. He is survived by his present wife of seven years, Wendy Mascoe of Oregon; two brothers, Richard (Andy) Mascoe (Oregon) and Ron (Kim) Mascoe (CA); children, Christine Mascoe (Bakersfield, CA), Jeffrey Mascoe (Blairsville, GA); stepson, Marc Johnstone (Blairsville); grandchildren, Bryan, Brandi, and Sandi; step-grandchildren, Josh and Caleb. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bryan began his career in the mailroom of Crowell, Weedon & Co. brokerage firm at the age of 18 and with hard work and determination, he worked his way up to partner, from where he retired before moving to Blairsville, GA in 2000. As a young man in California, he loved to body surf with his son, Jeff, and friends in the cold Pacific. Bryan was an avid (and good) golfer and belonged to Butternut Creek Golf Course in Blairsville. He was also a huge fan of all sports especially car racing, hockey, and football and spent his weekends watching many different sports. When he moved to Blairsville, he spent a lot of time hiking through the mountains with his son Jeff, brother-in-law Bill Moesker, and friends Paul Hilton and Worth Mason, and many of his new friends. He had a very upbeat and bubbly personalty and loved life. He always had a smile and was loved by everyone he knew. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 11:00 am at Cochran McDaniel Funeral Home of Blairsville with Rev. Dr. John Kay officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Methodist Cemetery. After the memorial, there will be refreshments to follow at Providence Methodist Church, 4470 Pat Colwell Rd, Blairsville, GA 30512. Cochran McDaniel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A Family Guest Book is available for condolences at www.cochranmcdaniel.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Castoff Pet Rescue, P.O. Box 1932, Blairsville, GA 30514 or Pruitt Hospice of Blue Ridge. The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses at Pruitt Hospice of Blue Ridge for their wonderful care.
