Burnadette was born on April 25, 1932, to parents Frank and Mary (Otto) Hamilton in Lake City, Iowa. She graduated from West View High School in Lake City with the class of 1950. On February 1, 1952, Burnadette was united in marriage to Dale Subbert in Omaha, Nebraska. The union was blessed with three children: Dennis, Bob, and John.
She was a member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Lake City and enjoyed helping with the Chili suppers and teaching VBS in the summers. She worked as a CNA for 25+ years and later as an activity director at Shady Oaks Nursing Home, and also the AAL secretary. In her free time, she enjoyed thrifting, visiting garage sales, line dancing, and meeting with the Red Hat Ladies. She always looked forward to meeting with her great-grandchildren and greeting them with chocolate and Pepsi.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Dennis (Diane) Subbert of Greenfield, IA, Bob (Patti) Subbert of Graettinger, IA, and John (Julie) Subbert of Panora, IA; grandchildren: Shawn (Michelle) Subbert, Sarah (Bill) Messinger, Shane (Morgan) Subbert, Christopher (Jodie) Subbert, Sarah (Dominic Ludovici) Subbert, Kirk, Aaron, Allison McIntire, and Cassandra (Rob) Coughlin; great-grandchildren: Calhoun Messinger, Aislynn Subbert, Carver, Lake, Ryker, Presley Subbert, and Trystin McIntire; siblings: Dorothy (Daryl) Bean, and Charles (Mavis) Hamilton.
Burnadette was preceded in death by her husband Dale, parents, and granddaughter Mary Subbert.
