Burneice Anne Joswick

Burneice Anne Joswick, age 90, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Newark, she was the daughter of the late Sara Eleanor (Harris) and Raymond Clark Porter. She was a member of the 1953 graduating class of Newark High School. Burneice was a dedicated homemaker for her family. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren, the Philadelphia Phillies, crocheting, bowling, and cooking for holiday gatherings specially making her famous "potato salad."
In addition to her parents, Burneice is predeceased by her husband, Stanley J. Joswick; her siblings, Rae Ralosky and Bobby Porter.
Burneice is survived by her children and their spouses, Stanley Jr. and Tracy Joswick, Timothy and Silvia Joswick, Garry and Anna Joswick, Allen and Patricia Joswick, Mary Anne DiStefano, Christine and Alan Clements, and Tracy and Brian Berggrun; 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; her siblings, Raymond "Corky" Porter Jr., Patricia "Pat" Guditus and her beloved pet CoCo.
A visitation will be held on Monday October 20th from 10:30-11:30AM, with funeral services to begin at 11:30 AM at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will follow at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Bear at 1 P.M.
