Carey Brandt Shelnutt, of Newnan, GA, passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 59. He was the beloved husband of the late Teresa Shelnutt and was preceded in death by his parents, Brandt and Elaine Shelnutt of Newnan, GA.
Carey is survived by his brother, Bill Shelnutt of Franklin, GA; and his daughters: Ashley (Ronnie) Rhodes of Stephens County, GA, Amber (Brandyn) Walker of Newnan, GA, and Alicia (Joshua) Petty of Wedowee, AL. He also leaves behind twelve cherished grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life.
A memorial service to celebrate Carey’s life will be held at Change Church, located at 45 West Broad Street, Grantville, GA 30220, on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
Carey will be remembered for his love of family, his enduring strength, and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind.
