Carl Fortunato Obituary

Born Saturday, April 26, 1941 in New York City, New York, Carl was the son of the late Salvatore and Rose Fortunato.
Carl was raised in the Pelham Bay section of the Bronx, and would go on to graduate from Christopher Columbus High School. He would serve the country honorably in the National Guard and received an Honorable Discharge. He would then begin a long career in Motion Pictures, working in editing in many major film productions.
Through his father, Carl would meet the love of his life, Rose Aquilino. The couple would marry and start a family of their own, raising their children on Staten Island. They would eventually settle in Manalapan to be closer to their family.
Carl enjoyed hunting and target shooting, and would enjoy the occasional trip to Atlantic City. He loved being with his family on vacations to Long Beach Island and going to the beach. He was a loving and caring man who will be missed by all that love him.
Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Rose, by his loving children, Regina Motola and her husband Richard, Carl Fortunato and his wife Debra, by his cherished grandchildren, Sophia, James, Julian, and Sienna, and by his caring sisters, Rose Freiman and her husband Robert, and Diane Heffler and her husband Richard.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:15 AM on Saturday at St. Mary's Parish located at 1 Phalanx Rd Colts Neck, New Jersey 07722. Interment will take place at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan, NJ.
