Allen began his career working alongside his family in the masonry business before establishing his own venture, Allen Hartsell Masonry. His craftsmanship and dedication to quality were evident in every project he undertook. In addition to over 30 years in masonry work, he later worked in the finishing department at Teledyne Allvac of Monroe until his retirement.

Allen graduated from Central Cabarrus High School in 1973. His faith was an important aspect of his life, and he attended several churches, including St. Stephens Wesleyan Church, Pine Bluff Methodist Church, Center Grove Methodist Church, and most recently, Friendship Methodist Church. In his earlier years, he was a dedicated member of the Georgeville Fire Department.

Outside of work and community service, Allen’s hobbies reflected his zest for life. He enjoyed beekeeping, woodworking, and spending time in nature through camping, hunting, and fishing. Allen was passionate about his country and his support of Donald Trump. He also cherished the companionship of his beloved dog, Jack.

Allen is survived by his loving family, including his daughters Melissa Brady (John) and Lindsey Cragan (Clayton); grandchildren Garrett Brady, Brice Burris, Karsyn Brady, and Addison Cragan; brothers Gary Hartsell, Larry Hartsell (Deloris), and Todd Hartsell (Robbie); and sister Vanessa Kendall (Jack). His legacy will live on through the cherished memories he created with each of them.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Furr Hartsell, father, Carl Edward Hartsell, and his wife, Kathy Hartsell. Though he is deeply missed, his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
