Donald “Donnie” "Don Won" Fisher, 62, of Concord , North Carolina. passed away peacefully at Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, on Friday, October 24, 2025. Donnie was born on June 10, 1963, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the late William and Mary Frances Fisher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Frances Fisher; and his grandparents, Edith Foster and Craig Fisher, as well as Mary Jane and J.B. Crump.
Donnie is survived by his son, Clint Fisher of Lincolnton, NC, and his cherished grandson, Weston Fisher. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa (Bengy) Sigmon of Mt. Holly, North Carolina, and his nephew, Seth Sigmon of Concord, North Carolina.
A proud graduate of Central Cabarrus High School, Class of 1981, Donnie was a standout athlete who excelled in wrestling and football. After graduation, he began his career as a truck driver for J & F Disposal before moving to Topsail Beach to operate Windfish Disposal. He later returned to Concord, working as a driver and dispatcher for D & L Waste, and eventually as a concrete driver with Concrete Supply Company, where he finished his career in 2020.
Donnie was known for his love of life, laughter, and good company. A devoted Carolina Panthers and NC State Wolfpack fan, he was also a lifelong NASCAR enthusiast and a proud supporter of Dale Earnhardt and even raced himself at Concord Motor Speedway “back in the day.” Donnie loved to gamble, sing karaoke—especially Elvis and classic country songs—dance, and spend time with his many friends. One of his favorite places to relax and enjoy life was “Three Monkeys,” where he made countless memories.
Donnie will be remembered for his big heart, his love of laughter, and his ability to make friends wherever he went. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, 460 Branchview Dr. NE, Concord, NC 28025. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, with Reverend Jeffrey Rushing presiding.
