Carl Ronald Houck

Carl Ronald Houck, 81, of State College, passed away May 29,
2024. He was born February 4, 1943, in Patton, PA to the late Carl S. and Marie
A. (Bennett) Houck.
Carl graduated from Pennsbury High School in Lower
Makefield, PA. He went on to attend Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA where
he earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
Carl worked for Betz Paper Chemical, Inc., which later
became Hercules, Inc., for 36 years until his retirement. By his retirement he
had served as the regional manager for the East coast division.
Carl was an avid Penn State fan who enjoyed watching all
types of sports! He loved hunting and fishing and belonged to the Sea Ray
Boating Club for years.
Carl is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sandra Lee (Davis) Houck; two daughters, Carla Gates and her husband Carl of Gatesburg, PA and Dianna Raker and her husband Troy of Morresville, NC; two sons, Dean Houck and his wife Nikie of Addison, NY and Brian Houck and his wife Rachel of Ashville, NC. He is also survived by one brother, Tom Houck and his wife Lynn; five grandsons; two granddaughters and six great-grandsons.
A viewing will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 1:00pm –
3:00pm with a funeral service immediately following at 3:00pm at the
Haky/Georgiana Centre County Funeral Home, 1034 Benner Pike State College, PA
16801, John Hurburt officiating. Entombment will be private.
