Carl Jankowski passed onto eternal life on December 19, 2023. He was born in Neenah, WI on September 6, 1936 to Frank and Regina Jankowski. He graduated from Neenah High School in 1954 and following graduation served in the Navy until September, 1957. Carl was Honor Man of Basic Training Company. Carl married Joyce Zachow May 19, 1956.
Following his military career, in 1957 he was employed by Marathon Corporation as a Customer Service Representative in their Bakery Packaging business division. During his 39 plus years with Marathon/American National Can Company he held positions at their facilities in Neenah, WI, Louisville, KY and Modesto, CA retiring in 1996 as an Area Manager, Human Resources.
Over an extended period, Carl attended evening and weekend division courses at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY, Modesto Junior College and University of California – Turlock in California and University -Wisconsin Fox Valley Menasha, Wi, finally after 40 years, graduated cum laude, with a BA degree in Business Administration from Bellarmine University on December 19, 2012.
Carl was a member of the Neenah-Menasha Elks Lodge #676 for 41 years serving as the Exalted Ruler, Trustee, and Chair Person of the Elks State Association Major Projects Committee. He also served as Co-Chairman of the Green Bay-Fox Cities Labor/Management Council.
As a member of St. Patrick’s Parish in Menasha, WI he served as Ushers Captain, Trustee and Chairman of the 1997 Capital Campaign Committee.
Carl and Joyce relocated to Utah in December 2022.
Carl is survived by his beloved wife Joyce sharing 67 plus wonderful years of marriage and the joy of two daughters, Shelby Truesdail -California, Sharon (John) Giles – Utah, five grandson’s Matt Truesdail (Andrea Padilla), Jon Truesdail (Nichole Starkey), West Truesdail, Colton Giles, and Jake Giles (Paige), and three great-grandchildren Nathan Truesdail, Huck Giles, and June Giles. He is also survived by two brothers; Vernon (Lorraine) Jankowski and Tom Jankowski and several nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, his in-law’s Ozwald and Martha Zachow, a baby twin sister, brother Robert Jankowski, sister’s in law Lorraine Jankowski and Karen Jankowski and nephew Michael Jankowski.
