I knew Carl from the mill at the storeroom. He was always easy to talk to and always friendly with everyone. I used to see at the Sandbar now and then, and I would put my hand up to my ears as if I was talking on the phone then I would pretend to pass him the phone and say, " Paper Mill Calling, they want to know if you want overtime " and we would just bust a gut!! Going to Miss this guy. Prayers to your family.

I am sorry to read about the passing of Carl, I have a lot of fund memories of Carl. Starting with Sappi, to Sand Bar to Marine Tap. Lately seeing him at Betten or walking the neighborhood. Carl was a great guy and a pleasure speaking with him on current events.

I've never sat on a bar stool next to Carl, but I will certainly remember him for all the other qualities highlighted above -- loyalty to family & friends, his work ethic, attention to detail, sense of humor-- which all made him the special person he was. Carl was a great friend. He will be missed. And oh, how I will miss those night long Euchre marathons. My condolences to the entire family.

Olson Family, My condolences at the loss of your beloved Carl. Many years ago, I had occasions to talk with Carl at the papermill storeroom counter. He was an unfailingly polite, good natured, and humorous man. May God grant him a peaceful eternity.
